Sending Smiles

Hello and happy Monday! We have a fun new challenge over at Double Trouble and Thing 3 is highlighting my favorite kind of cards with her twist- use floral

But first, let’s say what Thing 1 wants to see – fun folds! I did a little variation on the buckle style card

I used 2 different die cuts – both from Stampin, Up! to create this fun buckle fold

After using a small rectangle die (usually used for cutting out a sentiment) to cut a slit in the left die, the little corner of the right die tucks right in perfectly

The cute floral dies are by Spellbinders and the 3 coordinating pattern papers are from an old Stampin’ Up! stash

I added matching ribbons and some white dot accents to finish it off

What fun fold can you come up with? We’d love to see your creations! And if you make a card with a fun fold, Thing 2 has us teaming up with the Creative Creations blog. Be sure to share there too!

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I’ll see you again soon!

🙂 Kellianne

  1. Gorgeous card… so much deliciousness in your fun fold. Never heard of a buckle fold but you sure did a fantastic job on the layout and embellishments… love ribbons on cards; but out of my comfort zone, you always have a fantastic way to use ribbons.

  2. Kellianne, your card is so gorgeous! Your use of all the lovely papers and special dies to create the buckle is so perfect! I’m sure this will inspire our challenge followers to muster their creativity!! -Donna

  3. Kellianne, the staging of your card is just as wonderful as your card! I love how you created this fun fold. I also love when crafters dig into their old SU stash…brings back wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing it in our 2nd anniversary celebration at Creative Creases.
