Hello friends! Today, I’m sharing a card using some of my favorite products by Simon Says Stamp
I was totally inspired by the beautiful color palette in the challenge over at Color Throwdown
I just love these colors together!
As I started planning my card, I couldn’t quite figure out how I wanted to lay it out. Then i see the sketch at Atlantic Hearts and was inspired again!
I used these sets by Simon Says Stamp – “Delicate Flowers”, and “Cozy Wishes”. In the ripped border to the left, I also used the “Filigree Border” by Simon
I’m such a sucker for bird houses! And these are such cute ones in this set!
I filmed this one as it came together. Be sure to go check out the Reel on my Instagram!
Happy Monday and happy February! I’m always excited to hit February. It means Spring is coming soon, I get to celebrate my wedding anniversary, have a fun valentine tradition with my family and move more out of the cold!
Thing 1 says that Love is in the Air! You can make this a Valentine project or not, but let’s see the love
I used the stamp set by Altenew “Way too sweet” with its coordinating dies. Over the last few years I’ve made several Valentine cards and I just don’t seem to use them much! I still have a stack. So i decided to go with a card centered around love and sweetness – but not Valentines themed
When trying to come up with an idea, I saw another challenge that got my creativity rolling – the “Inspired By” challenge.
I loved the bright colors and the candy theme! And that’s where my card idea started
The layout comes from the challenge by Thing 3, which is to use this Sketch from Try Stampin On Tuesday
The cute cross stitch die, as well as the circles, are from KatScrappiness
With all these fun ideas and products coming together on my card, I loved the way it turned out!
If you play among with us at Double Trouble and use the sketch by Try Stampin On Tuesday, take the Double Dare by Thing 2 and go enter it there too!
I am also going to enter my card into a new challenge I just learned about – Park Hopping! Disney is known for their good sweets, so the collection of sweets on my card matches that too. I’m excited to follow this new challenge!
Thanks for stopping by to check out my card for today!
I’m so excited to share a card today using gorgeous new dies by Tim Holtz!!
The moment I saw these “Brushstroke flowers mini” dies, I knew I had to have them right away!
The Flower Challenge is back after taking a break and it’s one of my favorite because floral stamping is my favorite! Their theme this time around is to use your latest stamps and dies! Perfect timing for these gorgeous dies to get to me
I cut out a bunch of the flowers on white card stock, inked them up with Distress Oxides, distressed the edges and arranged them all on the two tags and panel
I added some little pieces of frayed burlap for dimension and texture. I love all the interest on this one!
I could make many cards using this prompt by The Flower Challenge because I’ve gotten lots of new things over the last few months. But these floral dies are my absolute favorite!
Thanks for stopping by to check my card out! I’ll see you back here soon.
They have this mood board as a starter for inspiration and I was definitely inspired by it!
I loved the ice skates, all the white, and just the wintery feel! This is how my card turned out
I loved the pop of red in the inspiration photo but didn’t end up adding any to my card
I used a few different sets of dies – all by Spellbinders. They were “Sketched floral and frame”, “Winter Welcome sled”, and “Petite Floral Potpourri”. I love how they all go together so well!
I left it without a sentiment because I love having cards to grab for anything!
This will be a fun one to write a little winter note in
Today I have a mixed media card to share. I’m playing along with the Simon Says Stamp challenge, which is “Beautiful Blooms”
I used products by Spellbinders for this card. The flower dies are called “Beeblossom”. That pretty rectangle die is from the “Candlewick Rectangles” set. The hopeful stamp is from an old set called “Be/So Hex”
Lots of people who could definitely use a message to stay hopeful in life right now! Thanks for stopping by to see my card today. Excited to head in to the weekend!
Hello! Double Trouble has a new challenge starting today!
Let’s start with the idea by Thing 1 – stitches! Let us see stitching on your project. I used a stitched arch die and a stitched edge panel die for mine. Both by MFT
And now the twist by Thing 3 – use a mythical character! I chose garden gnomes. These little guys have sure become popular in crafts, decor, etc! I love these images by Catherine Pooler
Speaking of Catherine Pooler – over on Stamp Nation, they challenged us to use a non birthday stamp set to make a birthday card. This one will be perfect for my best friend who loves to garden!
If you used a mythical or magical creature on your card, Thing 2 would like you to link up with our challenge partner, too! This time around, we played with The Fairies and the Unicorns Challenge
I had so much fun making this card. It took more coloring time than I’ve done in a long time! I used Zig Clean Color markers for all of it, and I love the way it turned out❤️
Thank you for stopping by and have a happy weekend!
The new challenge at Double Trouble starts today and it’s recipe time!
Thing 1 wants to see you use this 3-2-1 recipe
3 colors 2 layers 1 cuddly image
These sweet foxes hugging looked so cuddly to me! The 3 colors I used are from Thing 3’s dare- too create with the 3 colors from the challenge over at Color Dare. Desert Rose, peach, and sage (as close as you can get to those).
The stamps and dies I used are from MFT and the pretty embossing folder is by Spellbinders
My layout was inspired by the challenge over at MFT! I turned this sketch to be horizontal to fit my fox scene best
If you play along with the recipe and the colors that I did today, be sure to also go enter your card over at Color Dare
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon!
Today I have a card to celebrate a new baby girl and what a sweet thing to celebrate!!
I used the Lawn Fawn Little Bundle stamps and dies for this one. I’m really going to strive to dig into my huge stash this year and use it! This sweet set hasn’t been loved on in a long time and it was so fun to use again
I loved the color and medium combo that I used on my last card so much that I just couldn’t put it away! So I decided to make one more card with it
I just can’t get enough of how pretty the Seaspray Nuvo mousse looks with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide!
I used the set Holly Jolly as well as the mini wreath builder by Gina K to stamp some different snowflakes. I did a mixed media style for this one and I love how it turned out!
I’m entering this one in a challenge that is new to me! I found The Four Seasons challenge through another crafter’s blog and knew I wanted to play along. Their current theme is Winter and Anything Goes.
Thanks for stopping by to check it out! I have a Reel over on Instagram on it coming together so head there next to see a quick glimpse of the fun process this card was
This is a fan favorite – Something Anything Everything! So Thing 1 wants to see whatever you create. But Thing 3 wants to give the optional twist to use at least one stencil.
I used a dot stencil with some Seaspray Nuvo mousse. It goes perfectly with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink, which is the background color
As always, Thing 3 would like to challenge you to partner up with a previous partner. But today, we are highlighting one challenge blog in particular – Heart2Heart. They have decided to end their challenges, so this is the last one. They are going with “A few of my favorite things” as a theme. For me, snowflakes are definitely a favorite!! Both in real life as well as with stamping
The beautiful Snowflake on my card is from the Close to my Heart stamp set, “Christmas Snowflake Mandalas”. I embossed it on vellum, fussy cut it, and attached it to my blended and stenciled background
I made my card a simple “Just a Note” theme because I like to have a card to send for any occasion. This is perfect to give during winter!
We hope you will join us and show us your creations! And if you want to join Heart2Heart one last time, their challenge ends in only a couple of days, so head there to link your project quickly.
