Happy Winter!

Happy Monday! I think most of us are all experiencing some colder temperatures – is feeling like winter is on its way! My card today goes right along with it too

This card is for the new challenge up at Double Trouble

Thing 1 wants to see you mix it up! Add lots of patterns and texture! I did a couple different pattern papers as well as some dry embossing

The layout is inspired by the sketch created by our challenge partner Try Stampin On Tuesday.

I used Catherine Pooler stamps and dies for my design. I love the Christmas foliage along with the snowflakes!

With a few pearl embellishments, my card was finished

But I wasn’t done! Try Stampin on Tuesday also has a twist to do some paper piecing. So i made another card using the sketch again but included the twist!

Again it goes along with the mixed patterns that Thing 1 wants to see. I also used Catherine Pooler dies on this one

I loved making both! Thanks for stopping by to see them. We hope you’ll play along!

  1. Both your cards certainly met the Scrapper’s GORP; and I was really surprised to see another card with the piecing. I know we talked about it; but wasn’t expecting the second card… that was a quickie you created and a fun card.

  2. Your first card is really elegant and I love all the pretty layers & mix of textures as well as patterns. And the stocking is so cute and just perfect for anyone! I love the sweet little tag added to it. Very sweet!

  3. I really love the “Happy Winter” card and the stocking card is another great take on the sketch. I’m not so familiar with Catherine Poolers products, I think I am going to go take a better look!

  4. What beautiful cards. I love all of the details you have included such as the paper piecing and all of the die cut snowflakes. Thank you for joining us for this challenge at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and look forward to seeing you again soon!
